Dr. Snyder earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University in Connecticut and returned to Ohio for medical school at Case Western Reserve University. While at Case Western, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society which recognizes students with exemplary academics, professionalism, and leadership.
Dr. Snyder completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she completed her vitreoretinal fellowship at Vanderbilt University where she was presented with the J. Donald M. Gass Award for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Snyder is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. She has published peer-reviewed research articles in Retina and OSLI Retina. Her areas of interest include secondary intraocular lenses, macular degeneration, diabetes, retinal vascular occlusions, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and retinal tears and detachments.
In her spare time, Dr. Snyder enjoys working on her food blog, exploring new hiking trails, perfecting her yoga poses, and traveling to new countries.
