Founded in 1997, North Carolina Retina Associates has spent more than two decades in service to the Triangle area. We specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders involving the retina, macula and vitreous, including rare conditions like Uveitis and Secondary tracheln lenses.
Our physicians have nearly 100 years of combined experience, and we perform over 50,000 procedures annually. With eight locations across central North Carolina, our physicians, technology, and expertise are more accessible to your patients, particularly in urgent situations. As the communities we serve grow, we are expanding our capacity and services to meet the demand for vitreoretinal care.

NC Retina Research Centers
As a practice deeply invested in finding new and optimal treatments for your patients, the future of retinal care is woven into our day-to-day mindset. We are in construction on two dedicated two research centers –– one adjacent to our Cary office, and the other adjacent to our Wake Forest office. From these centers, we aim to advance the standard of retinal care locally and nationally, offering patients access to the latest therapies.
